This 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo is powered by a 5.7L LS6 V8 mated to rear-mounted 944 Turbo 5-speed manual transaxle with a Quaife limited-slip differential. I have owned this car since 2004 and it spends most of its time in my garage on the lift or sporadically at the racetrack. The car was street-able, registered and inspected until a couple years ago when I replaced the stock nose and headlights with a fiberglass nose to improve cooling on the track. The original wiring for the headlights, directionals, parking lights and marker lights are still in place and the original nose and headlights would be included in the sale should someone want to make this car a great street sleeper and weekend track car. The LS conversion was completed using components from Texas Performance Concepts and performance components were added from Linsey Racing, Bilstien, Accusump and Aviiad Dry Sump Systems.
The interior has been modified with a pair of Kirkey Aluminum seats, a rear seatbelt mounted harness/roll bar and RaceQuip 5 point harnesses with current date codes. Aside from that the interior is stock and complete. Heat does work properly, but AC was not reinstalled when doing the LS conversion.
Power is provided by a 5.7-liter LS6 sourced from a 2005 Cadillac CTSV, which is linked to the rear wheels via a via a 944 Turbo 5-speed transaxle with a Quaife limited-slip differential, external cooler, and a Spec clutch and flywheel.
