Custom 1966 El Camino
This El Camino was purchased by the present owner in 1998. Four years of work brought it to its finished condition. Study the photos and you will find tons of detail work and parts you haven’t seen. Hundreds of individual parts were made for this truck - from the steering column, to hose clamps, to AC outlets.
Awards won include ISCA Truck Category Champion in 2004 and 2005. It wasn’t shown in ISCA again until 2015 when it was in three shows and won Best Truck at each. At Super Chevy it was in the Gold Class for thirteen years and won many Best of Show and Best of Gold Modified Awards.
It was finished twenty years ago but still looks about the same as when it was just completed. All of the photos included here (except the one car show display) were taken June/July 2023.
It is an excellent running and driving truck; and would be reliable to drive anywhere. Odometer reading as of July 2023 is 1310.
Upholstery was done by Hatfield Restoration, and Adger Smith Performance Engines did the engine machining and balancing. All other work was done by the owner.
Truck will include cover, parts receipts, wiring information, parts sketches, and show trophies.
